... TomTom GO 510 Portable GPS. For your car. Remember back in the old days when people actually had to know where things were and how to get there? These days, I doubt it if more than 3 of my girlfriends knows what direction you have to drive to get to Mexico. One of my friends actually drove from Orange Count (Calif.) all the way to San Diego (3 hour south) before she realized that she was not headed towards Brentwood (1 hour north). And that's a true story, sadly. For them, TomTom GO 510 Portable GPS is perfect. And TomTom Go GPS is a great brand. No one hates on tomtom go gps. The reviews are solid. Refurbed, yes. So I suggest this woot only for those in desparate need and/or who are cheapskates (like most my 'homegirls')

... TiVo Series 2 80 Hour Digital Video Recorder. I know it's a little old school by now, but this is the exact piece we have at my place and I still love it. Tivo never fails me. Always gets me exactly what I was looking for, even when I didn't know I was looking for it. And 80 hours is a lot of hours. You could find more with other Tivos or other DVRs, but 80 is plenty for most people. I dare you to find someone who's had Tivo and doesn't love it. I haven't found anyone yet. Usually polaroid digital cameras get good coverage by the big doggs. Something must have went wrong. It looks kinda hip. Its cheap compared to other 7 Megapixel Digital Cameras (i used shopping.com for this example). So its up to you. I like the colors and I like the price. ... La Crosse Atomic Clock. My favorite feature (besides the '2-packness') is the thermometer. I have a similar atomic clock at home and I'm reading the temperature of it constantly. True story: It is currently hotter in my frickin house than it was at HIGH NOON today. Fix the darn AC already. This is getting rediculous.

Anyhow, I'm sure you all could find a good use for this clock. And two should be no problemo either. Come on its a La Crosse Atomic Clock. What more could you ask for. P.S. mind the amazon reviews. ... Polk Audio RM7400T/RM40T Tower Speakers - Pair. Wait? So they don't match?? AND there's a "shield" to protect the speakers from Jedi TV mind tricks. Or is it the other way around? Well, suffice it to say, I don't get it. Perhaps they DO match, and I just read it wrong. Perhaps your TV doesn't play Jedi mind tricks on your speakers. Either way, Polk is a very highly regarded maker of home audio equipment in the JByrd household. We already have some other Polk Audio Tower Speakers in our living room and they're sah-weet.

Search for these Polk Audio Tower Speakers on the comparison shopping sites, and you won't find a whole whole lot, but it doesn't take much useful linkage trainning to see that the woot is semi-amazing today. And that's not all. These things have just the "upper class college kid who went straight to the off-campus apartments instead of living in the dorms freshman year" look about them. ... RCA 160 Watt Rip & Go 5-Disc Microsystem With 256MB MP3. I would've LOVED this if they had made a pun on Kelly Rippa (one of my idols) in the Woot title. Instead, they went with a half-arsed play that might encourage you to rush toward the check line quicker (i suppose). Either way. Great woot. Though, I haven't had many RCA products in my lifetime, I always appreciated their cute use of dogs in advertising. Also, this RCA Microsystem with MP3 just looks nice.

Now, the comparison shopping engines don't have a lot. You'll see above some $135 listings, but they are a misrepresentation. I can't tell for sure, but I believe those prices are on RCA Microsystems that are of a slightly lesser variety. Also, can't really find any reviews on my normal sites. I'd venture out for reviews elsewhere, but I have company. Therefore, i need to get this post up and skidaddle. Bottom line, woot if you want. I only give this one 1 thump sideways. Or whatever. ... Vito 42 inch High Definition LCD TV. How'd Vito get his name on this mess? I suspect the Vito 42 inch HDTV is the y2k version of "sleeping with the fishes" or whatever they call it. But I may be mistaken. Who would want a Vito TV anyways? All they do is sit around your living room all day. Sure they'll do they're part and hold you bowl of spaghetti while you go to answer the door, but trust me, that spaghetti will be half gone when you get back. I trust no Vito's. Even the electronic kind that i can turn on and off whenever i choose. This TV is just weird. No one's heard of it, but i suppose that's how the family likes it. So, brand name aside, under a grand for a 42 inch lcd tv is pretty hard to come buy, especially when its hd ready. So keep that in mind. Nite nite, and say hellow to my little friends.

... 512MB Sandisk Memory Stick Pro. Not many of you will have a device that is compatible with this, but this price is super hot. Sandisk memory sticks are always reliable, from what i've seen. So i have no reason to believe these two would be any different. I'm not exactly sure what grown digital camera owner would be happy with a 512MB piece in their business, but maybe you can get it for your kids dig cam. I don't know. I'm just trying to be helpful here. Its practically like getting two free sandisk memory stick pro thingies. So go ahead.

If you're like my father, and love refurbished electronics deals, this is great. Quick bit of trivia; my dad loves refurbs. He'd buy a refurbished watermelon if they were available.
